Psalm 78

1 Chapter: Psalm 78

1 Verse:
Verse 38. But He, being compassionate, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; and often He restrained His anger and did not arouse all His wrath.

1 Prayer: Thank You, Father, for being compassionate. Thank You for forgiving my rebellion and restraining Your anger. I would be destroyed by Your wrath if You did not relent. Help me to be compassionate and merciful, as You are compassionate and merciful. You do not destroy the wicked, but instead You show mercy. I want to be like that, too, Father. Please help me today to demonstrate my appreciation for Your compassion by being compassionate to others.

1 Chapter: Psalm 78

1 Verse: Verse 11. They forgot His deeds and His miracles that He had shown them.

1 Prayer: Father, please forgive me -- I stand before you guilty as charged. How many times I forget or put aside the knowledge of everything you've done & continue to do ! Miracles of old, and daily miracles that I get too used to ... every sunset -- you send, every flower -- you bloom, every life -- you've given. Father, thank You for all the ways You continue to express Your love for me. Please help me keep my eyes and ears and heart open to Your communications.

Thanks, anonymous. I'm guilty, too. Thank God for His compassion in Christ and His mercy toward forgetful flesh-folk like us (v. 39)!
