1 Chapter: Psalm 140

1 Verse: Verse 7. "O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle."

1 Prayer: Thank You, Father, for my salvation. Thank You that the strength of it, the reliability of my being saved comes from You and not from me. Here I am in the midst of the day of battle and I need strength. I need saving. Thank You for giving me cover. Help me to know when to keep my head down and when to rise up and move out.

Psalm 139

1 Chapter: Psalm 139

1 Verse: Verse 12. Even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You.

1 Prayer: Father, I guess I shouldn't be so afraid of the dark. If it is all the same to You, then couldn't I just have a bit more light? But whether I walk in light or darkness today, Lord, I am thankful that You walk there with me. I can't understand why You would have me stumbling about where I can't see, yet that's how it is. That's how it is going to be, and I have to learn to be okay with it. Teach me to know that You walk beside me even in the midst of darkness. Thank You, Father.
