1 Prayer: Father, please help me keep an eye on myself. Please keep teaching me how to turn away from my contrariness. Please give me wisdom to know which dissensions and hindrances are not contrary to the teaching which I've learned, and help me to have the courage to lovingly dissent from and gently hinder that which is contrary to You.

Please help me to abide in love, to remain standing in Your grace by continual trust in the guarantee of peace that You have promised.

1 Verse: Verse 33. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

1 Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for granting us Your peace. It is a strange sort of peace -- it surpasses all comprehension? -- that exists in the midst of tribulation. It is a strange sort of world to live in -- completely overcome by divine love, yet still torn by trials and tribulations. Help me, Jesus, to know this peace in the midst of trials. Teach me how to live with courage when faced with the frightful things of this fearful world. Show me what Your overcoming can mean for me, for us.

1 Prayer: God of love and peace, thank You for being with me -- even though I am far from complete. Or am I only able to say that because I am only considering my own resources? Perhaps I would be comforted to know that You supply all that I require, all that I lack. Everything I need for joy and peace and maturity is in Your Spirit and Your Spirit is in me. So I will rejoice, I will be comforted, I will be completely at peace. Thank You, loving Father.
