John 16:29-33

1 Passage: John 16:29-33

1 Verse: Verse 33. "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."

1 Prayer:
Thank You, Jesus, for granting us Your peace. It is a strange sort of peace -- it surpasses all comprehension? -- that exists in the midst of tribulation. It is a strange sort of world to live in -- completely overcome by divine love, yet still torn by trials and tribulations. Help me, Jesus, to know this peace in the midst of trials. Teach me how to live with courage when faced with the frightful things of this fearful world. Show me what Your overcoming can mean for me, for us.
