Acts 1:7-11

1 Passage: Acts 1:7-11

1 Verse:
Verse 9. And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

1 Prayer:
Father, You say that faith is the conviction of things unseen, and here is a prime example. That cloud is still keeping Jesus out of sight. Even when I think I have caught a glimpse of Him by faith, it seems to vanish while I am still looking on. Help me not to trust in what I see or don't see. Help me to trust in what You say.

1 verse- 11They also said, "(H)Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who (I)has been taken up from you into heaven, will (J)come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

1Prayer- Lord, I praise you for your mighty power. May I live every day as if it were the day you are coming. I thank you for that hope.

Verse 8: but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.

Prayer: Dear God, I pray that you keep me strong in being able to witness to those around me. Near and far away. I am so thankful that I live in a place where I can boldly proclaim your name and I am so glad I have opportunities to travel to spread your name.
