John 11:18-26

1 Passage: John 11:18-26

1 Verse:
Verse 24. Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day."

1 Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for the assurances of Your word that promise us eternal life forever with You. But forgive me for sometimes failing to recognize that Your promises are for the present and not just the future. Like Martha, I let what I know get in the way of what You ask me to believe. Your promises aren't intended to work that way. They are intended to build up my faith in You, not put it off. Help me to believe in You not only for the for the future end of all things, but also for the immediate needs of the present moment, however great or small.

1 Verse: 25 I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"

1 Prayer: Lord, help me to be reminded of the promises you have made us in your word. I understand that we will be alive with you someday but that you also extend your kingdom down here to earth.
