Psalm 65

1 Chapter: Psalm 65

1 Verse:
Verse 1. There will be silence before You, and praise in Zion, O God, and to You the vow will be performed.

1 Prayer: Thank You, Father, for the silence that surrounds You. I'm beset on all sides by a cacophonuous chorus of dissonant voices all speaking, shouting, screaming, whispering words of shame, doubt, blame, regret . . . and You silence them all. I'm inundated with a flood of words. . . and yet none of them speak to my condition. You alone have the words of life -- real life, undying life, eternal life, unending life, self-sustaining life, self-generating life. To whom else shall I go? I will seek You in Your silence, then when I find You there I will adorn that silence with Your praise. I will perform for You -- before Your rapt attention -- the vows and promises, the commitments and pledges that I have made to You. May You be pleased with what You see and hear of me today.
