Psalm 69

1 Chapter: Psalm 69

1 Verse:
Verse 20. Reproach has broken my heart and I am so sick and I looked for sympathy, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none.

1 Prayer: Father, You know me best. You know me better than anyone. You are familiar with all my ways. Only You could know how perfect this verse is for me today. I don't know what else to say, so I will let George Fox say it for me: "It grieved me that I should have opened my mind to such a one. I saw they were all miserable comforters, and this increased my troubles upon me" (Journal, Ch. 1). You alone can speak to my condition, Lord. You are the Comforter, come to dwell with Your people Yourself. I need Your comfort, Father. I need You.

(Your favorite verse and prayer might even be the same as mine, but we'd still love to hear from you. Feel free to just drop us a note so we know you stopped by.) Thanks!

1 Chapter: Psalm 69

1 Verse: Verse 3. I am weary with my crying; my throat is parched; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Thank You God, for making Yourself known in the silence ... may my failing eyes continually seek You through the tears. When my throat is parched from crying out, You pour Your living water into me ... while I wait for You, Your encouragement from days gone by silently soothes my soul. The story isn't over ... this is just another chapter ... another chance to look past the pain and see that in the midst of it all, You are still Who You have always been and always will be ... the One who is worthy to be praised, forever and a day!
